About S.E. Schaible
Scott Schaible grew up in Livingston, New Jersey, a town memorialized in the iconic HBO series The Sopranos. He graduated without distinction from Newark Academy and Lafayette College, and served as a special assistant to a US Senator before moving to Denver, Colorado in the 1990s. He opened a communications agency and raised three children like they were still in Jersey, teaching them that lines were meant to be cut, rules were more like suggestions, and nobody messes with you without some payback.
Along the way Scott invented and patented a novel pet product that was profiled by Seth Godin in 99 Purple Cows, and co-founded a recycling company to transform discarded advertising billboards into unique tote bags and other products. A lifelong soccer nerd, Scott scored the longest goal in Colorado men’s league State Cup history (Hotspur vs. Kickers, 1998), striking the net from over 60 yards out. Bayern Munich and Palmeiras are the clubs he follows.
Scott’s writings have been published in SHIFT: A Journal of Literary Oddities, Please See Me, RITUALS, a Domesticated Primate & Anomaly Poetry publication and more. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Congressional Roll Call, Pet Business and other publications.
